Full Advisory Text
Warning Description: Flash Flood Watch

Warning Date: 6:34 am CDT on August 27, 2014

WarningSum:...Flash Flood Watch Remains In Effect Through Thursday Morning...

Warning Message:The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* portions of central Nebraska...east central Nebraska and south
central Nebraska...including the following areas...in central
  Nebraska...Greeley...Howard...Merrick...Nance...Sherman and
valley. In east central Nebraska...Polk and York. In south
  central Nebraska...Adams...Clay...Hall and Hamilton.
* Through Thursday morning
* although most of the watch area did not receive significant
rainfall this morning...additional rounds of showers and
thunderstorms are expected during the next 24 hours...especially
  this evening into tonight.
* Given that some storms could produce heavy rain in excess of 1
to 2 inches in a short time falling on already saturated
ground...the threat for localized flash flooding continues...
especially in low-lying areas and along streams. That being
said...rainfall amounts will likely vary considerably within
the watch area...and not all places will actually observe
  flooding.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
